Claude H. Crastan, 82, of Windsor, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018, at his home.

He was born July 15, 1935, in Newark, New Jersey to the late Herman and Helen Crastan. He was a baker by trade and an animal lover. He was a U.S. Marine and served his country in the Korean War.

Along with his parents, he was proceeded in death by his wife, Ruth; a son, Claudie Crastan; and a sister, Alverna Cardell.

He is survived by two nephews, Joey (Kathy) Cardell of DeBerry, Florida, and Scott Cardell of Sanford, Florida; three nieces, Susan (Kevin) Monaghan of Orlando, Florida, Sherry Cardell of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Bonnie Yanick of Wallkill, New York; a cousin, Gail Slininger of Bullock, North Carolina; and special friends, Danny and Teena Payton of Windsor.

Cremation rites have been honored by Pulaski Funeral Home in Somerset. A private memorial is pending.
