Eugene ""Gene"" Fair, 76, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017, at Hampton Assisted Living Facility in Meadows Park, Texas.

He was born Sept. 24, 1941, in Casey County, to the late Virgil and Christeen Brown Fair. He was a graduate of Liberty High School, a U.S. Navy veteran and a graduate of Campbellsville College. Gene worked for several companies including Brown and Williamson Tobacco Co. and Snap on Tools. He owned his own company, Fast Forward, that manufactured specialty computers. He was an avid NASCAR fan and a personal friend of Tony Stewart.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Carol Sue Wilson.

He is survived by his former wife, Linda Greer of Bardstown; a son, David (Julia) Fair of Richmond, Texas; and a grandson, Chase Fair. He is also survived by his brother, Roger Fair of Fairfield, Ohio; and a brother-in-law, Ron Wilson of Mainville, Ohio.

A memorial service is at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Brother Donald Nall of Owensboro officiating. A private burial will take place in Shady Grove Cemetery.

Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at the funeral home.
