Freddy L. Floyd, 69, of Mintonville, passed away Sunday, Oct. 23, 2016, at Liberty Care Center.

Born Aug. 2, 1947, in Casey County, he was the son of Morine Jasper Floyd Moore of Liberty and the late Carlos Floyd. He was a member of the Green River Christian Church. Mr. Floyd was the former owner of Floyd Tractor Sales. He was a member and past-master of the Mintonville Masonic Lodge No. 392 and the Craftsman Masonic Lodge No. 722. Mr. Floyd was the former district deputy grand master for the 21st District of the Grand Lodge of Kentucky. He was also a member of the Kosair Shriners and the Kentucky Scottish Rite. He was an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan.

Survivors include his mother, Morine Jasper Floyd Moore; two brothers, Wayne (Betty) Floyd of Liberty and Gary Floyd of Mintonville; a sister, Joyce Russell of Louisville; three nephews, Bryan and Scott Floyd and Timmy McClure; and a niece, Tammi Terry.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, C.B. Floyd.

The funeral is at 10 a.m Friday, Oct. 28, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home in Liberty with Brother Brad King officiating. Burial follows in Mintonville Cemetery.

Visitation is from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday with Masonic rites at 7 p.m.
