Lucy Brown Godbey of Liberty died Monday, April 27, 2015 at the Liberty Care Center. She was 86.
Born March 29, 1929, in Casey County, she was a daughter of the late Marion and Myrtie McDonald Byrd.
She was the widow of William T. Godbey.
Survivors include three sons, James Brown of Bowling Green, Robert Brown of Liberty, and Roger Brown of London; six daughters, Helen Woodrum, Phyllis Hamm, Darlene Lee, Norma "Jeanie" Atwood and Carol Williams, all of Liberty, and Donna Taylor of Lawrenceburg; a brother; seven sisters; 21 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday, May 2 at 11 a.m. at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Homer Hecht officiating. Burial will be in Bethelridge Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
