In 2007, she and her husband moved permanently to Florida where they could enjoy the surf and the many friends they made while living at The Tides.
A group of them enjoyed owning a race horse together and traveling to watch their horse, Exclusive Hopper, race. Mary Jo was a true blue Kentucky basketball fan, and traveled to Rupp Arena to cheer on the Cats until the end.
