Rickey Lynn Cooper, 68, of Liberty, died Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.

He was born Aug. 4, 1948, in Jamestown to the late Olan Dewey and Margie Back Cooper. He was a veteran of U.S. Army, a member of Thomas Ridge Church and a retired Principal in the Casey County School system.

Survivors include his wife, LaDonna Kay Combest Cooper of Liberty; three daughters, Kristin (J.W.) Hendrix of Lexington, Kasey (Christopher) Petrey of Richmond, and Kayla (McKay) Allen of Liberty; three grandchildren, Lauryn and Mila Hendrix and Cooper Allen; a sister, Deborah (Danny) Connor of Jamestown.

The funeral for Rickey Lynn Cooper is at 11 a.m. CDT Friday, April 7, at Bernard Funeral Home Chapel in Russell Springs with Brothers Hershel Lawhorn and Rick Cross officiating. Interment follows in Jamestown City Cemetery.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. CDT Thursday and continues at 8 a.m. CDT Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Dr. Victor Cooper, Dr. Ron Cooper, J.W. Hendrix, Christopher Petrey, McKay Allen and Roger Leigh.

Bernard Funeral Home in Russell Springs is in charge of arrangements.
