Rudell Cochran Johnson, 83, passed away Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016, at Casey County Hospital.

Born June 10, 1933, in Casey County, she was the loving daughter of the late Enoch and Ola Allen Cochran. Rudell was a member of Atwood Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a longstanding employee of the Casey County Hospital and part-time worker at Casey County Primary Care Practice, after her retirement from the hospital.

Rudell and her husband, Milton, loved camping trips with dear friends and enjoyed square dancing with the Casey County Swingers. She enjoyed tending to her flowers each summer and making sure her humming birds were well fed. She loved singing hymns. Rudell has gone home

She leaves behind her dearly loved children, Mike (Wanda) Johnson of New Albany, Indiana, Beverly (Allan) King of Liberty and Renee Cochran of Liberty; seven treasured grandchildren, Michele, Nathan, Allison, Jody, Jamie, Kelly and Zackery; 14 precious great-grandchildren; a cherished sister, Adell Brown of Liberty; and a beloved nephew, Boyd Cochran of Liberty.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Milton Johnson, who passed away Oct. 5, 1997; and two brothers, Delbert and Burl Cochran.

The funeral is at 2 p.m. Monday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home in Liberty with Brother Dwight Coffman officiating. She will be laid to rest following the service alongside her beloved husband, Milton, in Caney Fork Cemetery.

Visitation is from 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to Gideon's International or the Salvation Army.
