Stanley Coy Lane, 88, of Liberty, passed away Sunday, Sept. 24, 2017, at his home.

Born Feb. 21, 1929, in Casey County, he was a son of the late Roy and Joyce Murphy Lane. Stanley was a corporal in the U.S. Army. He retired from General Motors after 29.5 years of dedicated service with the company. He was an avid golfer. Stanley was known for his love of cars and he also enjoyed detailing them.

In addition to his parents, Stanley is preceded in death by his first wife, Jewel Price Lane; two sisters, Evelyn Hicks and Lillian Hatfield; and three brothers, Wayne Lane, Hershel Lane and Lonnie Lane.

He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Corn Lane, whom he wed on July 7, 1989; a daughter, Gina (Raymond) Rico of Jonesboro, Georgia; two stepdaughters, Elizabeth (Mark) Pierce of Kaysville, Utah and Malena Brian) Shaw of Clarksville, Indiana; and a step-son, Steven (Lois) Ware of Scottsburg, Indiana; two grandchildren, Adam and Nick; two great-grandchildren, Dottie and Pia; nine step-grandchildren, Sonny, Kayla, Stephanie, Stevie, Erin, Morgan, Eli, Mahala and Dante; and six stepgreat-grandchildren, Jared, Evie, Jax, Liam, Silas and Oliver.

The funeral is at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home in Liberty with Brothers Larry Crenshaw, Raymond Burgess and the Rev. Raymond Alstott officiating. Burial with military honors by the Casey County Honor Guard follows in Poplar Grove Cemetery.

Visitation is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, at the funeral home.

Contributions may be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
