Loyal Douglas "Doug" Larson(1936 - 2019)

Loyal Douglas "Doug" Larson, age 82, of Elkton, MD, passed away Monday, January 14, 2019. Born in Champ, MD, on June 10, 1936, he was the son of the late Loyal D. and Laura Thomas Larson.
Mr. Larson was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He had been a sales manager for Sears for 18 years, and was the owner/operator of Larson's Sawmill for 12 years. Mr. Larson had been involved with the Boy Scouts of America for over 30 years. He had been very active in numerous churches in the area, and presently attended Lighthouse Baptist Church, Newark, DE.
Survivors include his children, Lee Larson, Daniel Larson, Glenn Larson, all of Elkton, MD, Candice Larson, Earleville, MD, and Patti Anderson, Dover, DE; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 4 sisters and 2 brothers.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Larson was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Susan J. Larson; son, Christopher S. Larson; and 3 sisters and 3 brothers.
Funeral service will be held at 12:45 p.m., Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD, where visitation will begin at 11:45 a.m. Interment with military honors will be in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE.
