Wayne Jenkins Obituary

Wayne E. Jenkins of Canyon, TX, passed away on March 29th, 2017 in Amarillo, TX.
Wayne was 74 and son of Richard (Dick) and Hazel Jenkins (deceased) of Colora, MD. He was an Eagle Scout of Troop 92 in Colora. After graduation at West Nottingham Academy, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and had assignments in Okinawa and Vietnam. Wayne married Evelyn Garcia in El Paso and then moved his family to Canyon in 1975. Wayne spent his entire business career in the Computer Analyst/Programming field. Wayne served as Canyon Volunteer Fireman (Retired), Boy Scout Troop 4 Scout Master, Little League coach and umpire.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn; three sons, Wayne and his wife Cori, Michael and Ginger, and Patrick and Marci. Six grandchildren, Goddaughter and honorary grandchild, two great grandchildren; two brothers; Kenny Jenkins and Richard and Tracy Jenkins and their son Chad.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in honor of Wayne to Canyon Volunteer Fire Department, West Texas A&M University Athletics Buffalo Club, or Boy Scouts of America.
