Edith G. Rudy February 12, 1947 August 8, 2018 Edith G. Rudy, 71, formerly of McAlevy's Fort passed away at 9:25 a.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at William Penn Healthcare and Rehab Center in Lewistown. Born February 12, 1947, in McAlevy's Fort, Huntingdon County, she was a daughter of the late John E. and Beatrice J. (Peoples) Rudy. She is survived by two sisters Mary A. Alterio, of Bellefonte and Myra A. Walters, of Milroy; as well as a number of special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Marjorie L. Rudy. She was a graduate of Huntingdon High School. Edith retired in 2016, from Penn State University and was previously employed as an office manager at Grant's, Gee Bee's and Value City. She was of the Protestant faith and enjoyed reading and knitting. She will be missed by her cat, Cali Her funeral service will be private and at the convenience of her family with Pastor Doug Pierce officiating. Interment will take place at Green Lea Cemetery in McAlevy's Fort. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to: Pets Come First, 2451 General Potter Highway, Centre Hall, PA 16828 or to any animal shelter of the donor's choice. Arrangements are under the care of Henderson Funeral Home, 3813 West Main St., Belleville, PA 17004.
