Geraldine Faye (Gerry) Miller September 12, 1932 May 16, 2018 Geraldine Faye "Gerry" Miller, 85, of Spring Mills, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, May 16, 2018. Born on September 12, 1932, in Howard, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Bertha Bitner Lucas. On March 26, 1954, in Centre Hall, she married Melvin G. Miller. Melvin passed away on May 22, 2009. Gerry was a 1940 graduate of Howard High School. She worked at Sylvania in Mill Hall before marrying Melvin. After their marriage, she worked beside her husband on the family farm and provided a loving home for her family. Gerry was instrumental in the daily work on the dairy farm. She was an active member of the Madisonburg United Church of Christ in Madisonburg. She taught Sunday School, VBS, sang in the choir, and helped arrange flowers for services. Gerry loved to work outside in her garden and tend to her flowers. She was known for her wonderful meals that she prepared. She was an excellent cook. She loved her family and her animals. Gerry put everyone else's wants and needs before her own. Gerry is survived by her two children, Norma Jean Miller, of Spring Mills, and Glen Miller and his wife, Lois, of Madisonburg; her grandson, Allen Miller; and great granddaughter, Remy Miller. Also surviving is her sister, Dorothy Gardner, of Howard. Along with her parents and husband, Gerry was preceded in death by four brothers, Marvin, Orn, Dean, and infant brother, Billy; and three sisters, Ruth Heichel, June Heverly, and Martha Wise. Gerry's wishes were for no public viewing or services. She will be laid to rest privately at the Madisonburg United Church of Christ Cemetery with Pastor Julie Holm officiating.
