J. FRY

A service at St Mary's Church, Blidworth, preceded cremation at Mansfield of Mrs Janet Fry (70), who had been a resident of Churchfield Care Centre, Rainworth, for the past year. Mrs Fry had previously lived at Haywood Oaks Lane, Blidworth. Born and educated at Belper, Derbyshire, Mrs Fry had been a local resident for 20 years. She had worked as an usherette and waitress in the Belper area, later becoming an office cleaner at Sherwood Lodge, Arnold, from where she retired,. Her interests included caravanning, reading, socialising and the family's dogs. Mrs Fry, who died at Churchfield Care Centre, Rainworth, leaves her husband, Mr Gordon Fry, three daughters, Micheala, Sue and Jane, son Mark and seven grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her son, Graham. Mourners were Mr G. Fry, Mr and Mrs Bradley, Mr and Mrs Powdrill, Mr and Mrs Allen, Miss Allen, Mr Powdrill, Mr and Mrs J. Fry, Mr and Mrs R. Fry, Mr A. Fry, Mr and Mrs Ellerton, Mr D. Sutton, Mr and Mrs Bouch, Mr and Mrs N. Wakelin, Mrs L. Mitchell, Mrs J. Jenkins. Representing Churchfield Care Centre were Mr D. Allcock, Mrs P. Partridge, Miss L. Filipek. Floral tributes were from family, friends and Churchfield Care Centre. The service was conducted by the Rev B. Allsop, and arrangements were by J. W. Hutchinson.
