ROURK, JR., Cecil Entered into eternal rest on the morning of June 1, 2008, Jacob Cecil Rourk, Jr., husband of Linda Coburn Rourk. Residence, Goose Creek, SC. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. J. Cecil Rourk, Jr. are invited to attend the funeral services of the former in Old St. Andrew's Parish Episcopal Church on Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at one o'clock. Burial will follow in the churchyard. Friends are invited to join the family in the church parish hall after the services to remember Cecil's journey through life. Cecil was born July 11, 1937, in Charleston, SC, a son of the late Jacob Cecil Rourk and Myrtle Young Rourk. He attended St. Andrew's Parish High School, The Citadel, and Clemson College. He was a member of Old St. Andrew's Parish Episcopal Church. He worked at the Charleston Naval Shipyard, retiring as a Production Controller with SUPSHIP. He then worked in Key Largo, FL as a condo manager before returning to Goose Creek. Cecil was a member of Mariner Lodge #2 A.F.M., a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason, and a member of Omar Shrine Temple. He was a member of the Harley Owners Group, the Elks Club, and a former member and president of the Greater Charleston Ski Club. He is survived by his wife of Goose Creek; a daughter, Linda Renee Zauner and husband, Robert, of Goose Creek; a step-granddaughter, Brooke Nicole Zauner of Fairlawn, NJ; mother-in-law, Louise Coburn of Charleston; sister-in-law, Dianne Boersma of Goose Creek; and nephew, SFC James Boersma, USArmy and wife, Alyson, of Fayetteville, NC. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Old St. Andrew's Parish Episcopal Church, 2604 Ashley River Road, Charleston, SC 29414 or the of SC, 50 Taylor Street, Suite 101, Columbia, SC 29201.
