Mary Webber Obituary

Mary Margaret Faulstich Webber "Peggy" CHARLOTTE - Mary Margaret "Peggy" Faulstich Webber, 60, of Charlotte, NC, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2016, surrounded by her family. Peggy was born on April 6, 1956, in Asheville, NC, and shortly after moved to Baltimore, MD, where her parents and her siblings were born. Her family moved to Charlotte in 1966 because of her father's job, and she graduated from Charlotte Catholic High School in 1974. She attended CPCC and Appalachian State University before graduating from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a degree in Anthropology. She married David Webber in 1985. Peggy was always an advocate for giving children the best possible start to life. She ran a home daycare for 10 years in order to stay home with her three children before they started school. After many years of volunteering as a La Leche League leader, Peggy became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant in 1995 and worked for Carolinas Healthcare System helping new mothers learn to breastfeed. Peggy's varied interests always kept her life busy and joyful. She was an avid animal lover, always owning dogs, rabbits, and birds, as well competing in dog shows. She often volunteered with many organizations, including Mensa's Gifted Youth program. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cooking, making jewelry, and spoiling her grandson. Her children were always her most important priority, and she was extremely supportive of their activities. She attended every game, every concert, and every musical. She volunteered as both a Girl Scout and a Boy Scout leader. She even continued her involvement as her children attended college outside of Charlotte and started lives on their own. Peggy is survived by her parents, Jerry and Helen Faulstich; three of her siblings - Betsy Freedman, Jim Faulstich, and Sallie Cune; her three children - Kate Angermeier, Geoff Webber, and Gregg Webber; her son-in-law, Billy Angermeier; and her grandson, Max Angermeier. A memorial mass will be offered for her at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 8015 Ballantyne Commons Pkwy., Charlotte, NC 28277 on Saturday, May 28, at 11am. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the Mothers' Milk Bank through the WakeMed Foundation (WakeMed Foundation, 3000 New Bern Ave., Raleigh, NC 27610); include "Mothers' Milk Bank" in the check memo line.

Not sure what to say?

I did not know. I was just thinking of her. And googled her. I still remember her bedtime recitation of "The Three Groovy Bears" when she babysat us, her love and concern for me and my siblings. What a beautiful soul. Bye Peggy, Alma

I only just learned of this sad news! I am so sorry for your loss! Peggy and I served on several committees and saw each other at conferences about breastfeeding! She always gave me a giggle when she shared her opinion or thoughts on a topic. She was a fun spunky lady. I will miss her, as I know you will. Peggy has left her mark in the world and will not be forgotten!

Precious Kate,Geoff,Gregg,
I loved each of you and am so thankful your mother and I were so close that I was part of your growing up.It broke my heart when I moved away and we no longer shared laughter everyday. She was one of the best friends I ever had and we loved each other more than our luggage. I will see her soon and want you to know just how joyous that reunion will be. I know she will want to tell me all about her beautiful grandson I never met, Max, but if he is anything like his mother, he really was a jewel in her crown. God hold you in his arms and comfort you. Her love for you will be forever. You were her world.

I met Peggy at Charlotte Catholic, as our sons were in band together. She was so warm and friendly and always willing to help at band functions. Years later we bumped into each other at CMC, and she was just as sweet. Peggy, you will be missed by all of those blessed to have known you and remembered with love. My deepest sympathy to the Webber Family.

Peggy and I had birds and knee replacements in common. We always had a story and a laugh about our feathered babies. I miss her presence in the hospital, always ready to help a new mom get started with feeding and continuing to support them as long as they needed help. Rest now Peggy. You fought a valiant battle. To the family, I am sorry for your loss. God bless you all.

Dear Faulstich and Webber Families:
I am so saddened to hear about Peggy. She and I worked at Loeffler Marley Mountjoy in the accounting department before she had Kate. Such a wonderful life she had after advertising!
May your precious memories help you in the days ahead.

With deepest sympathy,
