Mrs. Betty Jean Britt Lindsay of Green Bay, WI died January 9, 2019 at the age of 89. Born in Cornelius and raised in Charlotte, NC, she was the daughter of Mrs. Lillie Mae Britt and Mr. Kelly M. Britt of Charlotte, NC. She and her High School sweetheart, Mr. James Boyce Lindsay, were married in 1949 and had a wonderful 60 years together.

Mrs. Betty Lindsay was educated in Charlotte schools. She and her husband were stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas during the Korean War and moved back to Charlotte in 1954. Betty and Boyce enjoyed vacationing in Wisconsin to visit family. After Boyce's passing, Betty moved to Wisconsin to live with her son Mark and his wife Brenda. Mark and Brenda provided a wonderful home and life for Betty as they loved and cared for her since 2009.

Survivors include her two sons Rev. John Paul Lindsay and wife Vicki and Stephen Mark Lindsay and wife Brenda, her daughter Meredith Biggers and husband Brad, grandchildren Heather Hogan and husband Ben, Shannon Brown and husband Chris, Lindsay Blietz and husband Josh, Matthew Lindsay and wife Katie, Jessica Cook and husband Jason, Andy Lindsay, and Michael Lindsay. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, Kaitlin Godwin, Skyler Brown, Colin Brown, Luke Brown, Jacob Brown, Brandon Lindsay, and Nathan Lindsay, and her brother Marshall Britt, and special friends Greg Biggers, Joyce Helfer, and Mike Lynn. Betty was preceded in death by her brother Albert Britt and four sisters, Susan Willit Britt, Martha Marie Britt, Norma Paffel, and Mabel Paffel.

Betty's grandchildren affectionately knew her as "Maw Maw" She was loved by all who met and knew her. She now resides with our Lord and Savior and Boyce in heaven, where we will see them once again and will never be forgotten. You are loved by all Maw Maw.

A graveside funeral will be held at Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte on January 17, 2019, at 10:00 AM, which will be conducted by her son, Rev. John Lindsay. The family wishes to thank all the doctors and nurses whom so lovingly cared for her in Wisconsin. Also, a deep thanks to our loving family in Wisconsin for their thoughts and prayers.
