Carol Jean (Hunter) Lee CHESAPEAKE, VA - Carol Jean (Hunter) Lee, born on January 30, 1947, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to the late Norman and Clara Hunter, passed away at age 71 on August 4, 2018, at home surrounded by family in Chesapeake, Virginia. While serving in the Navy as a photographer she met and married Eugene "Gene" Lee. Carol and Gene were married for 48 years. She was preceded in death by her sister, Janice Besche. Carol is survived by her husband; son, Jason Lee; daughters, Heather Lee and Stephanie Santoso; brothers, Jim Hunter and Dean Hunter; sister, Louise Magnuson; grandchildren, Madeline, Morgan, and Olivia Santoso and another one on the way; and countless nieces, nephews and friends. Carol was a registered nurse. She loved family, golfing with her girlfriends at Pine Lake Country Club, gardening, and reading and will be remembered for her strength, unconditional love, and kindness to all she met. Carol was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church. Friends and family are welcome to attend the memorial service on Saturday, August 25, at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Carmel Monastery, 5678 Mt. Carmel Road, La Plata, Maryland.
