Mr. John Wyndell "Brad" Bradfield, 88, passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at The Gardens of Taylor Glen.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30pm on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Wilkinson Funeral Home Chapel, 100 Branchview Dr. NE, Concord, NC 28025, officiated by Rev. T.C. Plexico. The family will greet friends following the service.

Brad was born on September 20, 1929 in Rome, GA to the late John Franklin Bradfield and Effie Duke Bradfield. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lee Black Bradfield; son, Greg Franklin Bradfield.

Brad was a superb amateur photographer with an eye for detail. He especially enjoyed taking views of landscapes and sunsets and extreme closeups of wildflowers and insects. He also was a very big ballroom dancer with his late wife. After retirement Brad and Betty enjoyed cruising through the Caribbean, Europe and Alaska. Brad was people-oriented and connected easily with others. His sense of humor was legendary.

He is survived by his daughter, Wendy Bradfield-Smith and husband, Stephen Smith; son, Glen A. Bradfield and wife, Terry; daughter-in-law, Carol Bradfield; sister, Norma Bradfield McMullan and husband Charles; grandchildren Rachel Davis, her husband Sean and son Samuel; Mary Bradfield; Christopher Bradfield; and Jesse Bradfield.
