Louise Hobson Callaghan "Weezie" CHARLOTTE - Louise Hobson Callaghan known affectionately as 'Weezie' died peacefully in Chapel Hill on October 30, 2018. Louise is survived by her daughter Lisa and son Kevin and grandchildren; Mary Louise and Addison Callaghan. Louise is predeceased by her husband Jack Callaghan and son, Marty. Louise graduated from Queens College in 1955. She and Jack lived briefly in Dayton, OH, then moved back to Charlotte where they raised their family. Jack and Louise were active in many local and national charities including Easter Seals, March of Dimes, Red Cross and the United Way. They attended Selwyn Avenue Presbyterian Church where Louise served as an elder and a deacon and as a member of the choir. A celebration of Louise's life will be held on January 12th, at 11 a.m with a reception to follow at Selwyn. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Selwyn Avenue Presbyterian Church.
