Ralph C. Harris, Jr. passed away on December 13, 2018 at his home in Charlotte, NC after a long illness. He was the son of the late Ralph and Frances Harris of Rockingham, NC.

Ralph attended Rockingham High School, the University of North Carolina, and the UNC School of Law. He practiced law for over forty years and was a partner in the law firm Parham, Helms, and Harris in Charlotte.

Ralph is survived by his wife of thirty-five years, Jane Russell Harris, sons Keith Harris (Susan) of Charlotte and Doug Harris (Candy) of Antioch, Tennessee; stepsons Matthew Burke (Stephanie) of Charlotte and Dr. Jason Burke of Las Vegas, Nevada; sisters Jane Maddux (Cabell) of Warrenton, Virginia and Ruth Burgin (Rick) of Pinehurst, NC; eight grandchildren and three nephews. He left behind many lifelong friends.

Ralph was a history buff and read extensively on many subjects, particularly the Civil War and WWII. He loved the beach, sports, and especially his Tarheels and Carolina Panthers. He was a member of Myers Park Country Club for over forty years, where he enjoyed playing golf. He dearly loved his schnauzers Bismarck, Kaiser, Wilhelm and Hildegard.

A memorial service will be held on December 17 at 1:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Matthews, NC, followed by visitation.
