Barrera-Herrera, Filimon

65, of Chicago died unexpectedly on Sunday, February 7, 2021. He was born in Cincuenca Arrobas Mexico, on March 8, 1955. After serving as a police officer in Mexico , Mr Barrera-Herrera migrated to the United States in the early 1970s and settled in the Chicago area where he remained until his death. He worked as a cook and chef for many years, as well as in metal manufacturing before he retired. Mr Barrera-Herrera was a devoted member of St. Rita church.

He is survived by daughters Alma N Berrera of Ecuador and Floriberta Nerrera of Cicero sons Raunel Barrera of Toluca, Mexico, Lonjno A Barrera and Filimon Barrera of Cicero the mother of his children Carolina Ayala of Cicero five granddaughters and nine grandsons as well as sisters and brothers.

Visitation will be Monday February 15 from 4-7 pm at Suburban Family Funeral Home 5940 w 35th street Cicero Il 60804 burial will follow in Cincuenca Arrobas Mexico, at a later date.
