Sylvia Oreskes, nee Libkin, age 99, beloved wife of the late Maurice C. Shoffman and the late Harold I. Oreskes; dear companion of the late Abe Linderman; loving mother of Nancy (David) Gang, Linda (William) Tabolsky and the late Judith (Bob) Ginsberg; cherished grandmother of Michael (Julia) Ginsberg, Lori Rinn, Jeffrey Gang, Michelle (Mark) Winter, Joshua (Kimberly) Gang and Marc Tabolsky; treasured great-grandmother of 11, great-great-grandmother of two; dear aunt; very special and loving "mom" of Ed Linderman and Sandy Leavitt. Service Monday, May 21, 2012, 11 a.m. in the chapel at WESTLAWN CEMETERY AND MAUSOLEUM, 7801 W. Montrose, Norridge. Interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be Alzheimer's Association, 4709 Golf Rd., Skokie, IL 60076 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
