Dorothy D'Esposito Obituary

Dorothy D'Esposito died on Oct. 6, 2012 after a full life. Born in Chicago on Jan. 30, 1918, she grew up in St. Ignatius Parish, the third daughter of John and Mary Shannon. Living in Wilmette, they raised six children, Julian (Molly) D'Esposito, Puddy (Craig) Larsen, Clancy (Bob) Senechalle, Kate D'Esposito, Ann D'Esposito and Mary Fran (Bill) Aunchman, and enjoyed visiting with their nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In retirement, they lived on St. Simon's Island, Georgia. Dorothy remained in Georgia after Julian's death in 1982, cultivating her friendships and perfecting a golf swing shown in Golf Digest. Returning to Wilmette in 2001, she resided at Mather Place, living with many friends from her earlier days and becoming an active member of that community. So sorry to hear of Aunt Dorothy's death. She was always so great to be around. I hadn't seen her since Terry died but spoke to her and was going to try to see her when we came to Chicago. We are so sorry we cannot be there, but you are all in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. God bless her in her peace.
