Courtney Mohr Van Lopik

Courtney Mohr Van Lopik, 85, passed away November 17, 2012 in Lincolnshire, IL. She was born in Chicago in 1927. Courtney graduated from the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools, Monticello College, and from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing in 1950. She was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta and PEO. Courtney was a longtime resident and community member of Grand Haven, Michigan and Ogden Dunes, Indiana where she served as president of the town board in the 1970's. She was also active with the Lake Michigan Federation, the Save the Dunes Council and Alliance for the Great Lakes. Wife of the late William P. Van Lopik; mother of Bill (Patty) Van Lopik of Lincolnshire, IL and Julia Van Lopik (Erik Ambjoern) of Copenhagen, Denmark; grandmother of 4; daughter of the late Dorothy and Albert Mohr Jr.; and sister of the late Marjory Mohr Zatkoff. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 24th at 11 am at St. John's Episcopal Church, Grand Haven, MI. Interment private.
