Family gatherings in the UP were always more fun with Edie around. She lit up the room with her bubbly personality and wit, she was always so kind and caring. She will be greatly missed by so many. RIP. Our condolences to the family and friends who had the privilege of being on the orbit of this great lady. The video photo album was lovely.

Our deepest condolences. I loved watching the video. What a beautiful lady, who obviously adored her family and the life she had built for herself. Could there a better legacy? Sending love to you Kurt, and your entire family.

What a beautiful, classy, and fun aunt! I will always remember Aunt Edie's joy of being alive, and having the most infectious laugh. She was a delight - open, generous, loving. I am sorry I can't be there to celebrate Aunt Edie's life, but my heart is there with the Johnson family.

I will always remember Aunt Edith for the great kindness she showed me in the summer of 1984, my first and only long stay in Chicago. She went out of her way to make me welcome. Aunt Edith was genuinely caring, putting others before herself, which is a rarity. My condolences to all the family in Chicago for your loss.

We all fell in love with Edith when Willard[Billy] brought her to our house on their honeymoon trip. She was just a bubble of happiness visiting with us. While Willard was off in a field by our house blowing up something! That is my first memory of her and always the best!

The years pass so swiftly by. Our children are born & grow up into adulthood. So soon those early days become memories.
We occasionally saw each other over the years. But in my heart I hold loving memories of all of the Johnson family.
May each of Edith's family be blessed with an awareness of God's abundant grace as they walk through the steps of grieving. Cousin Joan

I have the best memories of visiting with Aunt Edie as a kid. The things she tried to teach us girls was great! Only Aunt EdieIm going to miss her fun-loving spirit so much.
I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love.
Love you all.

Edith would carry her tennis racquet with pride as she left the condo association to play her weekly game. Her classy nature will be missed in the building. God bless, Diane.
