Pulliam, Elizabeth Entered eternal rest September 7, 2014 at Methodist Hospital in Merrillville, IN at the age of 58. Elizabeth was born November 12, 1955 in Sharon, PA to Jewel (Goudy) Newell and Wesley Speed. She was a 1973 Graduate of Farrell High School. She was a former employee of Comfort Inn in West Middlesex, PA. In 1976, she married James Pulliam, and to this union they were blessed with a son, Edward Anthony Pulliam. She eventually moved to Gary, Indiana and made Gary her home, where she resided for the last 15 years and was employed at Ultra Foods. Liz, as she was affectionately called by her family and friends, enjoyed bingo, and going to the casino. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jewel (Goudy) Newell and Wesley Speed; two sisters, Carolyn (Newell) Johnson and Doris Newell and one brother, Wille "Butch" Newell Jr. Liz leaves to cherish her loving memory her son, Edward Anthony Pulliam, A.K.A "Slick" Gary, Indiana; one sister, Savannah Newell, Gary, Indiana; two brothers, Joseph Goudy, Farrell, PA, Mozelle Goudy Sr., Belafonte, PA; her devoted loving friend, Willie D. Edwards, his daughter Whitney Edwards, both of Gary, Indiana; two grandsons, Josiah Pulliam, Kellen, Texas, Cameron Lister, Gary, Indiana; one granddaughter, Trinity Hunter of Gary, Indiana and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Visitation Saturday, September 13, 2014 from 9:00a.m.-2:00p.m., with funeral services immediately following at 2:00p.m. All services at the Guy & Allen Chapel. Pastor Timothy F. Brown officiating. Interment Evergreen Cemetery.
