Randall J. Ugorek, age 67, C.P.D. Retired, U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War passed away suddenly on March 12, 2019. Randall was the beloved husband of the late Diane, nee Scinski; loving father of Michael J. Ugorek; dearest son of the late Bernice, nee Moscinski, and Leonard Ugorek; dear brother of Peter (the late Elizabeth) Ugorek and the late Anne Cloherty. Memorial visitation Saturday March 16, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with memorial service at 7:00 p.m., at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. A great friend from Thailand in Army, We saw each other many times since during my travels across country. Last time in 2017 at steakhouse on my way home in NJ from St Louis VietNam unit reunion. He was very proud of you Mike. We spoke often about you & CP job. God bless you.

Served with your Dad in Thailand and have been friends since then. Last saw him summer of 2017 on the way home from my VietNam unit reunion in St Louis. We had dinner at steakhouse. We spoke regularly. I will miss him. He was very proud of you and your job at CP. I'm a fellow train nut. I will keep him and you in my prayers. Mike, we have never met, but I worked with your Dad in the 015 District during the 90s. He was not only an outstanding policeman, but a great man who looked out for the officers he trained. God Bless you and your family. Paul H.

My condolences to Randy's family. Randy served on active duty with the US Army Security Agency, and with me in the US Army Reserve. He was a fine soldier and a good friend.

If there ever was a police officer who exhibited all of the fine traits you ever could ask for, Randy was the one. Always a hard worker with a smile on his face, he brought a great deal of pleasure to all of us who worked with him. He was a police officer and a soldier who made a difference. It was my pleasure to have known him and work with him. I salute you and wish you Gods blessings.
