Morgan Finley Obituary
The Honorable Morgan M. Finley age 91, of Indian Head Park, formerly of the Bridgeport Neighborhood of Chicago. U.S. Navy Veteran during WW II. Beloved husband of Judith M. (nee Seegert) and the late Betty Jane (nee Burke) Finley; devoted father of Patrick Finley, Matthew (Tara) Farmer and the late James Finley; cherished grandfather of Johnathan (Laura) Finley and Jack, Alexa and Dylan Farmer; Morgan was raised by his beloved "Nany " along with his late siblings Dennis, Edward and Julia; fond uncle and cousin of many and also survived by a very dear friend Kim Abbatoy. Morgan was an Illinois State Senator, the Chairman of the Chicago Zoning Board of Appeals, Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook Co., Illinois State Central Committeeman, Lyons Twp. Democratic Committeeman and a Past President of the Irish Fellowship Club of Chicago. Visitation will be on Sunday, September 25, from 3 until 8pm at Hallowell & James Funeral Home 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Funeral Monday, September 26, prayers will begin at 9:15am from the funeral home and proceed to St. John of the Cross Church in Western Springs for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:45am. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the De La Salle Institute, 3434 South Michigan Ave., Chicago, IL 60616 would be appreciated. I am sorry for your loss. My mother, Ellen Margaret Burke NIKOLA, who passed away in 2011, was Betty Jane's cousin. We always follow Morgan's career. I think my mother secretly wanted me to enter politics because of cousin Bud.

Dear Patrick so sorry to hear about Morgan's passing. He was a great friend to my parents and us kids as well. It always excited me when I heard he was stopping by for a visit,or when we were going to Michigan City. They don't make them like our dads anymore.
