I first met Frank during a celebration of his arrival in Cody, 1977. I met Frank again in 1979 when we both were employed by a construction company in Cody working on the footers on the Marathon Oil buildings new wing. Man what a man, he made you feel good, he took an interest in you. I never made it out to his home on the north fork I wish I had.I remember his epic trip began in Chicago with a compadre named Jack the Rat. Jack was unable to complete the journey due to a medical issue and dropped out in Iowas I believe. RIP Frank I remember all of the trivia we would quiz each other on you the Bears and Cubs me on the Browns and Reds. I knew I was in the midst of a giant and greatness with Frank 45 years ago.

First of all, I am sorry for your loss.
Many years ago I met Frank when he rode the St. Olav's Trail in Sweden to Trondheim.
He was truly a nice man and an inspiring soul.
I am glad I got to meet him.

I remember Frank very fondly. He was a caring physical therapist who had great empathy for his patients because of a prior serious leg injury. He was very proud of his son Cody who played football at Oak Lawn and then at Eastern Michigan. Here's the story though: Frank accompanied me to several Notre Dame football games over a period of 3 to 4 years. On one day, Frank stayed out all
night at a nice bar that I brought him to. I picked him up at 5AM on game day and went to our tailgate location. He went into the bushes and slept for about 5 hours. We still remember him coming out of the bushes after he woke up. At the game, Frank sat with me. We played USC. The game was tight. Midway in the 4th quarter we were up by 10 points, but I was still nervous. Frank, sharp as a tack and someone who knew football, said, "the USC players are sitting on the bench and have given up. They are beat." He was right. I learned from him, that day, that one can tell a lot by looking at the whole picture.

I was a friend of Connie's and if you knew him
you knew goat...he was a great big brother to a lot of us back in the 6o's he was big and strong and could pass a football as far as you could see.
Foster park was a place in our hearts in those
days and Frank/Goat would stop by when we had games/drinking or just hanging around.
Last time I talked to him was at Connie's wake.
Will be missed by all

Very sad to learn about Frank's passing. He was a good friend of my older brother and they played football together at Calumet High School. The last time I saw Frank was at the VA Hospital on South Damen Avenue in Chicago. My condolences to Frank's family and friends. Richard Bovey, Indianapolis, IN

Frankie had a big curiosity and adventurous spirit.
He and I and brother Connie tried to save the baby pigs in the holding pen next door to the house, we even left a message written in chalk asking the shippers to leave the babies and we would take care of them, (I was 9 and he was 7).
