Spelson, age 75, of Glen Ellyn formerly of Oak Brook, IL, beloved husband of Mary Ann, nee Gorman; loving father of Gregory (Lisa), Katherine Spelson, Peter Spelson and Kristine (Stephen) Petno; proud grandfather of James Petno, Emily Spelson and Maria Petno; dearest brother of Chris Sinclair, Catherine Irons and the late Thomas (Inez) and Dr. John (Kathy McSweeney) Spelson. Family and friends will be received at the Conboy-Westchester Funeral Home, 10501 W. Cermak Rd., Westchester, IL (2 blks. west of Mannheim Rd.) on Friday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Family and friends will meet on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at the Holy Apostle Greek Orthodox Church, Westchester, IL. Interment at Elmwood Cemetery, River Grove, IL. After graduating from Morton High School, Peter Spelson served in the Army during the Korean War. He received a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree and later became an actor and a member of the Screen Actors Guild. His acting included stage and screen experience, writer, producer and actor, with his own production company. He produced and stared in the first full length feature film made in Chicago in the late 1970's called Psychotronic Man. He and his family lived for 36 years in Oak Brook, during which time he served as Governor of York Woods in Oak Brook. For further info 708-F-U-N-E-R-A-L.
