Edmoynur Taylor Obituary
Taylor, Edmoynur 99, a resident of Gary, Indiana for 72 years and formerly of Greenfield, Tennessee. She exchanged time for eternity Friday, May 30, 2014 at Methodist Hospital Southlake with her family at her side. Edmoynur was a member of St. John Baptist Church for 72 years where she was a devoted member of the Usher Board and Mission Circle. Ed as she was affectionately called loved baseball, fishing, traveling, shopping and she was a fashionista. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Evergia Young; husband, Hughlon Taylor; devoted cousin, Patsy L. (Roosevelt Sr.) Allen; brother, Elder Young and sister, Avanchia Smith. Edmoynur is survived by nephew, Stanley J. Young Sr.; great-nephew, Stanley J. Young Jr.; cousins, Valerie J. (Wallace) Broadnax, Roosevelt Allen Jr., Gregory (Tabetha) Allen, Carmelita V. (Rodney Sr.) Henry; dear friends James and Liz McNair, Maurice Butler, Pamela and RoyAnn Clark; and her phone and travel buddy, Lavera Smith; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation Thursday, June 5, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Funeral service immediately following at 11:00 a.m. all services at St. John Baptist Church, 2457 Massachusetts St. Rev. Rodney C. Griffin Jr. officiating. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park.
