Clay, Julia Mae 89, formerly of Indianola, MS. She worked as a hairstylist and retired from Gary school corp. Julia began her eternal sleep Sunday, July 27, 2014. She was preceded in death by parents, Wade and Mary Hodge; husband, Albert Clay; two sisters, Viola and Creola; four brothers, William, Wade, Johnnie and I.W.; daughter, Lizzie Mae; and four sons, Pierce III, Eugene, Rodell and Kelly. Survivors: children, Irene Jones, Margaret Walker, Diana Hollins, Gloria Ward, all of Gary, Charles (Irene), Eddie (Beth), Jerome, and Vernon; siblings, Lucy Murphy, Ruby (William) Hanyard and Velma Aaron, Lee, James and Vernell Hodge; special granddaughter, Nicole (Johnny) Greene Jr.; thirty-five grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation Friday, August 1, 2014 from 9:00-11:00a.m. Funeral services immediately following at 11:00a.m. All services at Greater St. James Church, 2601 Massachusetts St.
