I'm am saddened to hear about your father's passing. I have such great memories of your entire family. Your house was always the "fun" house. (I can STILL picture your basement!) And, your dad was one reason it was.
I fondly remember your dad taking a group of us neighborhood kids to Cubs (and Sox) games. I hope he would be pleased to know our family is still strong Cubs fans to this day - even my 102.5 year old granny who passed last year.
Please accept my sincere condolences. Go Cubs Go!

Mrs. Will and Family, my families thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time. I have so many great memories of playing sports, goofing around in the neighborhood and doing math homework in the kitchen during the summer. To many to list.
Tom, your Dad was the best and will be truly missed. Stay strong for your Mom and family. To this day I take great pride in telling people my baseball coach growing up was a former major league player. And it was my best friends Dad. Pretty cool. Great coach, Great man. You have lots of love heading your way.

Our hearts and prayers go out to Nancy and all of Bob's family. For 20+ years Bob has been a true friend and advocate of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta helping raise countless dollars for pediatric cancer related research. He always took time to make the life of a child a little better. I'll miss you, Bob. Your friend,

Dan and I wished we could have
known Bob much earlier in our
lives. We both knew that if we
had lived closer to him and Nancy
we would have been best friends. We instantly felt a kinship with them. May God be with all of
you as you grieve. Love, Dan and Jean Fritz

When I was a kid in the late 50's I rode my bike to Will's house. He came out and gave us a autographed ball. He made a GREAT impression on a 10 year old boy. I enjoyed watching him playing for the cubs. Was happy to call him a friend. Sorry about our loss, he was a kind man.

When I was but 10 years old in 1960, I watched Mr. Will play in a doubleheader on a steamy August day. After the games, my Dad walked me down to where the Cubs came out of their club house to sign autographs.
With sweat dripping down his forehead, Mr. Will patiently put his pen to my scorecard as he wished me well.
While walking to our car, Dad told me, "That's how major leaguers act". I never forgot that and have measured ball players AND regular, everyday people that way ever since.
I taught high school for four decades and was eternally grateful that such as my Dad, Mr. Will, and others helped me to live by a 'big league' moral compass.
We are worse off because Mr. Will has departed but Heaven has been improved.
My prayers for Mr. Will's loved ones.

Nancy, at my age reading the sports pages and obits are a daily routine. Today I read about my favorite "Cub" Bob Will leaving us. My memories of the fun I had with Bob through the years makes one think of how dear friends are and when you lose a friend you lose a part of your own life. Playing golf together, having a few pops and reliving our pasts always made for a fun day with Bob. He will always be in my heart. My condolences to you and the kids. If there is baseball in heaven you know Bob will be on the roster. Hope they play better than the "northsiders"

I am deeply sorry to hear about Bob's passing. As a young Cubs fan he was one of my favorite players. I was fortunate to meet Bob as an adult and am proud to say we became friends. As much as I admired him as a ballplayer, I admired him even more as a person. Bob was a generous, caring man who invited me to accompany him to Wrigley on numerous occasions. I will always remember spending those days with him at the park. I will also reflect back on #28 swinging two bats over his head to loosen up in the on deck circle. He will be greatly missed.

Sorry to hear about your dad Bob.May he rest in peace. I remember playing with you as a kid, but I can't recall where. Little league perhaps? I was on Egezio's team. Maybe Ss.Peter and Paul, or St. Rapheal? I remember I like you, and you were alot of fun. Praying you and your family are well. Take care Bob. Sincerely, Tim.
