Bernard Harrold Obituary

Harrold, Bernard E. 87, passed away at his home in Winnetka on Monday, October 22, 2012. He had practiced law in Chicago for 45 years. He was born and raised in a rural area near Bluffton, Indiana. After high school he was drafted and served during World War II in Antitank Co., 333 Infantry Regiment, 84th Division. His unit was part of the last Allied push across Germany, meeting the Russians at the Elbe River. Upon returning to the States, he went to college and law school at Indiana University in Bloomington. He then joined the Chicago law firm of Kirkland, Fleming, Green, Martin and Ellis. In 1967, he and three partners formed the firm of Wildman, Harrold, Allen and Dixon. Besides practicing law, he enjoyed bird watching, fly fishing, tennis, curling, and duplicate bridge. He is survived by his wife Kathleen, their son Jim, daughter Renata Harrold-Donnell (Dave) and three grandchildren.
