Caroline Murphy Obituary
Caroline Pasquesi Murphy, 89, lifelong resident of Highland Park, IL, passed away October 3, 2017. Highland Park was Caroline's forever home. Her best memories were made in Highland Park, attending school, marrying her high school sweetheart, running a successful business and raising three incredible boys. Before she knew it her three boys were creating memories of their own in this place filled with so much love. Caroline spent her many years on this earth creating, contributing so much beauty to this world. Carole took seeds, soil, water and before your eyes a breathtaking garden. She mixed flour, water, sugar and her family had dinner; handmade tortellaci and Bolognese sauce. She knitted with her needles and yarn and her grandchildren had blankets to keep them warm at night. Caroline sat in Church with God, trust, prayers and love and she was provided with an incredible Faith. Hard work, love and faith, the principals this talented little lady lived by. Not a day will go by where we do not think of our sweet Caroline. We will take the faith she left with us and use that to keep her spirit with us. Loving daughter of the late Silvio and Irene Pasquesi; beloved wife of the late Daniel Murphy; devoted mother of James (Letitia), Robert (Linda) and Thomas (Mindy) Murphy; cherished sister of Lucy Konsler and the late Gasparino "Gappo" Pasquesi; adoring grandmother of Erin (John) Claydon, Gretchen, Daniel, Lauren (Andrew), Jessica, Jack, Kelly and Sean Murphy; dear great-grandmother of Samuel, Seamus and August Claydon. A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 8:30-9:30am at Kelley & Spalding Funeral Home, 1787 Deerfield Rd., Highland Park, IL 60035, with a funeral mass being held 10:00 am at St. James Church, 134 North Ave., Highwood, IL 60040. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Daniel Murphy Scholarship Foundation, 309 W Washington St #1250, Chicago, IL 60606. http://www.dmsf.org/.
