Obituary Condolences

Clara "Jean" Blum, nee Barry, formerly of Lemont, from complications of Alzheimer's disease, at home with the Lord Sept. 16, 2012. Born Dec. 12, 1933, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Bernard and son Timothy. Survived by loving daughter, Mary Kay Peters; devoted son-in-law Terry; and dearest grandchildren Theresa and Matthew (Bethany); caring sisters Estelle Robertson (John), Bernice Martinson; fond brothers George and Clarence Barry; many nieces, nephews and good friends. Jean was a writer, a traveler and devoted teacher for adults with developmental disabilities through the "SPRED" program in Lemont. Visitation Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012 at Gerharz-Cappetta Funeral, 501 State St., Lemont from 4 to 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial, Thursday, 11 a.m. at the Franciscan Village Chapel, 1270 Franciscan Dr., Lemont.
