Clifford H. Braun, 85, of Tiger, GA, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2011. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA on October 31, 1925. He served with the U.S. Marines in the Pacific during WWII. After the war he worked for 42 years as a Studio Technician, Television Director, Program Manager, and Studio Manager in the Chicago Television Broadcast Industry. He received many awards in recognition for his work within the industry. After his retirement in 1989 he and his wife Nancy moved from the Chicago suburb of Northbrook to Melbourne, FL. In 1998 they moved to Tiger, in Northeast Georgia. Survivors include his wife, Nancy; daughters and son-in-law, Darlene Napoleon, Donna Braun, Diane and Michael Cray; and three grandsons. He was a member of St. Helena Catholic Church in Clayton. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Clifford's memory may be made to the St. Helena Catholic Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 534, Clayton, GA 30525. A memorial service will be held Friday, June 24, 2011 at 11 a.m. at St. Helena Catholic Church. His cremains will be placed in a plot in Bronswood Cemetery in Oakbrook, IL at a later date. Beck Funeral Home, in Clayton, Georgia, is in charge of the arrangements.
