Just read this tonight and am so sorry for your loss. George was my freshman
Algebra and Science teacher at Francis Jordan High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He Coached the Varsity Football team. I was a member of the undefeated freshman football team and George always showed an interest in how I was doing. We would talk sports and exchanged trivia quizes.
I brought my sport magazines into read. Even though that was over 50 years ago I frequently thought of him
because I had immense respect for him. I would like to express my sincere condolences for your loss.
Best Regards,
Richard Lulloff

My first job in real estate over 30 years ago happened to be in the same office as George. George was always willing and never to busy to answer a question or give pointers to a rookie when most would not. Over the years I always liked seeing George at the various real estate and construction events and have a chat, he would always take the time to ask how you and your family were doing, what a kind, and terrific guy who will Shirley be missed.

My condolences and prayers to his family and the many close friends I am certain George had.

George was a great friend and business associate to our family for many, many years. After my Father Cosmo passed in 1999, we often shared stories about him. Our best conversations however naturally centered around football. A very kind, generous human being. He will be missed. RIP, George.

Badke Family,

George was incredibly admired and respected by everyone during our time at St. Joe's. On the few occasions we got together in the ensuing years, he exhibited his happiness to all of us. I am certain you are all extremely proud of the great life that he shared with you.
Rest easy, old friend.

My sincere condolences from the West Coast for Sandy and the Badke family. George touched many lives in the most positive manner. Although he was no longer a teacher or coach of mine I met up with him several times and his kind words of encouragement inspired me to emulate his passion. I know we will meet again in Valhalla.

To Sandy and the Badke family my deepest condolences, I know you will miss George deeply as he was a blessing to your family in so many ways.

I feel incredibly fortunate for having had the opportunity to be coached by George. His passion and intensity for excellence were contagious and his expectation that you perform to your best and nothing less served as a tremendous foundation for my life.

Thank you George, I will always do my best to live up to that standard and work with others to do the same.

Coach Badke had a passion for perfection and instilled confidence that that perfection could be achieved through goals that could be achieved through a concerted focus and belief in oneself and that a team effort will get you there.
His staff shared those beliefs and instilled a passion for success that all teamamtes, embraced and felt a part of the success we achieved.
I personally appreciated his belief in me, and his giving me the opportunity to make the most of what I could contribute to his team, which he took soo much pride in.I'm sure his leadership had a geat impact on many of his players lives as it did on mine.

My condolences and prayers for you Mrs Badke and Family.David Gall,Fenwick'82

George was my football coach at St. Laurence back in 1972. He was always kind and understanding of our stupid, young mistakes.
(Alright, MY mistakes!) Was always there for us with a smile on his face and ready and willing to take some kind-hearted ribbing from the players on the team. I will remember his obvious love for life and love for his friends and family. George was one of those special people I can say...was an honor to have known! Although his passing is sad, be happy that he was, in some way, a part of your life.

Warm Summer Sun

Warm summer sun,
Shine kindly here,
Warm southern wind,
Blow softly here.
Green sod above,
Lie light, lie light.
Good night, dear heart,
Good night, good night.

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.
