Joanne Gregg Obituary
Joanne Susan Gregg, nee Schwall 59, of Loveland, CO, formerly of Wauconda, IL passed away on December 2nd at the Medical Center of the Rockies Hospital. She was born to the late Joseph and Louise (Happ) Schwall of Northbrook, IL on December 29th, 1957. Joanne became the beloved wife to William (Bill) Scott Gregg on February 17th, 1990. She had one step-daughter Stephanie (Adam) Tancl and two grandchildren, Dakota Gregg and Kolton Tancl. Joanne is also survived by her sister Jain Simmons of Evanston, Il, brothers Jack (Marge) Schwall of Cary, IL, Jerry Schwall of Salem, WI and Jim (Tricia) Schwall of Grayslake, Il. Joanne will be missed by her Aunts Nancy (late Robert) Happ, Therese Anne (late Frank) Selzer, Marilyn (late Edward) Wade and Irene (Allan) Homberger along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. In 2013, after a thirty-three year career at NorthShore University Health System's Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview, IL, Joanne and Bill realized Joanne's dream to live near the mountains in Colorado. Shortly after moving to Loveland, Joanne went on to work for the Breast Imaging Center at Poudre Valley Health System. Joanne enjoyed spending time in the mountains with Bill whether it be hiking, snowshoeing or cruising the backroads in their Corvette. Joanne was also an avid Cub's fan. But most of all, Joanne loved spoiling Dakota and Kolton. Her kind heart, warm smile and thoughtfulness towards others will be remembered and cherished by many. A celebration of Joanne's life will be held on December 29th at Our Lady of the Brook Church at 3700 Dundee Rd. in Northbrook, IL. Visitation will take place in the church from 10:00 until the time of the funeral Mass at 11:00. A Colorado memorial service will be held in early 2018 at the First Christian Church, 2000 N. Lincoln in Loveland, CO. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joanne's memory to the Vasculitis Foundation or to the .
