Dear Ray and the rest of Julie’s family, I am so saddened and shocked to hear of Julie’s passing. I had just spoken to her ten days prior, for which I’m grateful. I worked for Julie for several years and I also considered her a friend. She was a fair and competent boss, super smart, wry, fun and hilarious. I’m at a loss right now that she is gone way too soon. Ray, I’ll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Julie, you’ll be terribly missed, but I’m sure we’ll meet again and then we can continue with the laughs.

I was in Julie's class at the CPD Academy. I am just heartbroken to read that she is gone. We were friends on FB, but I had no idea that she was sick. We shared our Catholic education, and both being redheads! Rest in peace, sweet Julie. You were a great person and will be missed by everyone that had the privilege to know you. May all your wonderful, funny memories comfort your family now, and in the difficult days ahead. So very sad and sorry........ Kathy Carter/ Aguinaga, Retired CPD

Ray I’m so sorry about your loss. We were more than police partners we were friends. She was always a good person and no matter how difficult some of the cases we got involved in she always saw the good in people. She will be sorely missed

I’m terribly saddened by Julies death. Julie was my Sgt in Vice until her retirement. I was blessed to call her a friend for 19 years. She was witty, kind, compassionate and intelligent. May God bless her family. Ray, I will keep you in my prayers. RIP dear friend.

Aunt Julie will forever be remembered in my family for her generosity, warmth, incredible cooking skills (including dependably being called upon every Thanksgiving for turkey emergencies) and deep knowledge of crime history. She never missed an opportunity to send her great-niece and nephew fun holiday cards and thoughtful gifts. I'll miss you every day, Jul, and we'll cherish your memory always.
