Obituary Condolences

Marian R. Braue was born March 26, 1926 in Chicago, IL. She was the daughter of Raymond and Ruth, nee Sheehan, Schuster. She graduated from Nazareth Academy (LaGrange), 1943. After high school her love of golf sent her to Florida where she briefly attended Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida. She returned to Rosary College in River Forest where she graduated in 1947 with a major in chemistry and a minor mathematics. Marian loved sports. She continued her passion for golf, but loved the Chicago Cubs and the Fighting Irish from Notre Dame. She met the love of her life at a college dance and she later married John R. Braue Jr. February 19, 1949. They were dedicated to their love for each other and their 5 children. Marian is survived by her children Mary Brown Philadelphia, PA, Pat Ugarte Elgin, IL, Mark (Ann) Braue Eau Clair, WI, and Laurence (Staci) Braue Tampa, FL; Nine grandchildren, Robert, Sherri, Tonya, Kyle, Samaya, Martel, David (Kara), and Celeste; 16 great-grandchildren; Two great-great grandchildren; One sister, Elizabeth; and Three brothers Jim, Phil and Tom. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband John; a son John R Braue III on May 10, 1975; her brother Raymond Schuster; and a sister Barbara Schafer. A funeral Mass will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 5001 N. Sherman Avenue, Madison with Father Walsh presiding. Burial will be at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, February 5 at Ryan Funeral Home, 2418 N. Sherman Avenue, Madison and at church on Saturday from 1 p.m. until the time of mass. In lieu of flowers, donations made to Alzheimer's Research. Ryan Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 2418 N.
