Michael Schoder Obituary
Michael Stepan Schoder, 27, passed away on December 30, 2017. Born on July 2, 1990. Michael is survived by his parents Jeanne and Rob; his beloved twin sister Mari, his brothers Robby, Scott and Charlie; and the love of his life, Laura Abellera. Michael was a cherished son and brother; treasured grandson of Quinn and Snowy Stepan and the late Ginger and Barry Schoder; and adored nephew and cousin to many. His legion of friends were devoted to him, and Michael brought great joy to his family and friends. His brilliant smile was infectious and his compassionate and caring nature was a gift to everyone in his life. Michael was a devoted servant of those in need and was pursuing his Masters Degree in Social Work at University of Chicago after graduating summa cum laude at DePaul. He was the first to offer love and assistance to family and friends and the last to finish arguments about Notre Dame's superiority on the football field. He loved to compete, and recently won the MVP of the annual Stepan Family Turkey Bowl - an honor he was sure to remind his siblings' of regularly. His compassion was unmatched and his steadfast commitment to the things and people he loved knew no bounds. Michael will be missed dearly by all.
