Perry W. Nelson, Capt. US Navy (Ret) USNA 48, age 84, recently of Lake Forest, IL, formerly of Short Hills, NJ, died Feb. 16, 2009. Husband of Grace; father of Nancy (Roger) Stevenson, Kevin W. Nelson and Anne (Chris) Reyes; grandfather of six; great-grandfather of one; brother of Robert Nelson and Elizabeth Tapper. Funeral mass was Sat, Feb 21 at the Church of St. Mary, 175 E. Illinois Rd., Lake Forest, IL 60045. Burial was private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Glenbrook Hospital, Attn, Kellogg Cancer Center, 2100 Pfingsten Rd., Glenview, IL 60026. Visitation was Fri., Feb. 20 at Wenban Funeral Home, 320 E. Vine Ave., Lake Forest, IL 60045.
