I got to know the Werrenraths while I worked at the Geneva Foundation of Presbyterian Homes. Mr. Werrenrath always greeted me with a warm smile. His talents were many including a beautiful sculpture that was commissioned for the Resident's vegetable garden just outside of the Westminster Place dining room. He had quite a full life that seemed to become fuller moving into Westminster Place. He was truly a gentleman's gentleman.
I wish my love to Mrs. Werrenrath for she goes on without her wonderful husband in this life. I know I will cherish my memories of him and of their love and respect as a married couple. My heart goes out to the family.

The greatest testament I can provide about Mr. Werrenrath is that his namesake son, frequently over the four decades I have known the son, always and repeatedly spoke of his father with pride, respect, affection and love. I heard stories of all phases of Mr. Werrenrath's life. Only a truly remarkable person could have so positively affected his son that the these kind words were so often said. To the Werrenrath family I hope you continue to repeat all the stories and that they bring you smiles and a warm heart.
