William Flynn Obituary
William L. Flynn, US Army Korean War Veteran, age 87, of Plainfield. Beloved husband and best friend for 64 years to Patricia Flynn, nee Frey. Loving father of Colleen (Gerry) Goebel, Bill (Sue) Flynn, Mariann (Bruce) Lill, Barbara (Al) Theis, Patty (Bruce) Schaffer, John (Patty) Flynn, Jackie Evans, Cathy (Sam) Milaneses and the late baby Michael Flynn. Proud grandpa of 26 grandchildren and "papa" to 32 great-grandchildren. William was preceded in death by his sisters Mary and Shirley and his brothers Edward, Bob, John and Joseph. Fond uncle of numerous nieces and nephews. William had many talents and excelled at all he attempted. He was a respected bricklayer/mason inspector and a proud member of the Bricklayer's Union Local #21. William will be remembered for his faith, great love of family and service to the poor, especially at the Shepherd's Table and the Port Ministries. Family and friends will be received at the Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet on Friday, December 8, 2017 from 3pm to 9pm. Funeral Saturday 9:15am from the funeral home to St. Mary Immaculate Church for 10:30am Mass. Interment St. Mary Immaculate Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to Shepherd's Table of Catholic Charities, 611 E. Cass, Joliet, IL. 60432 or the Port Ministries, 5013 S. Hermitage, Chicago, IL. 60609. Info at 815-722-0524
