They were married Nov. 25, 1949, a few days before he started his first job as a CPA. Steve spent his career as an auditor and became a partner with the CPA firm now known as Deloitte. He served on the board of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and became chairman. After his retirement in 1990, Steve and Dee enjoyed playing golf and traveling to watch golf, especially the tournaments in which their daughter, Allison, played as an LPGA professional. He is survived by his wife; daughters, Carolyn (Gary) Glenn, Eleanor (John) Vita, Deborah (Wayne) McKenzie, Allison (Heather) Finney, Barbara (Mark) Jeffery; and his grandchildren, Erin, Evan, Shannon and Blaire McKenzie, John, Tim and Laura Vita and Zoe and Mia Jeffery.
