Aristo (Aristomenes) D. Nicholson. Vet WWII, U.S. Army-Infantry. Beloved husband of the late Mary nee Tsolakes. Lovng father of Karen (Boyd) Paulsmeyer and Denise, Nicholas (Estelle) and Peter (Angie) Nicholson. Proud grandfather of Kaleigh, Whitney, Tricia, Michael, Aristo Thomas, Nicholas, Andrea, Elaina and Matthew. Survived by 3 brothers and 1 sister. Aristo was a member of Hellenic Post #343 American Legion and recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star WWII, serving with the 80th Infantry Division 3rd Army in the Battle of Metz. Visitation Friday from 4:00pm to 9:00pm at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home 185 E. Northwest Hwy., Palatine. Family and friends will meet Saturday afternoon at St. Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church 133 S. Roselle Rd., Palatine, for funeral service at 1:00pm. Interment Elmwood Cemetery. Memorial donations to Wounded Warrior Project 230 W. Monroe Street, Suite 200 Chicago, IL 60606 would be appreciated.
