Dr. Ronald Shlensky, M.D., J.D., FAPA, FACFP, noted psychiatrist and lawyer passed away July 28, 2006, as a result of being struck by a car as he was walking his dog near his home of the last 27 years in Santa Barbara, CA. Dr. Shlensky is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Evely Laser Shlensky; his son, Lincoln Shlensky; daughters, Sheba Lux and Aviva Goldfarb; son-in-law, Andrew Goldfarb; grandchildren, Jared Lux, Eli Lux, Soloman Goldfarb and Celia Goldfarb; sister, Gerry (Richard) Freibrun. Dr. Shlensky was born in Chicago, graduated from Purdue University and University of Illinois Medical School. He practiced Psychiatry in Chicago and was a Professor at Northwestern University Medical School. He earned a Juris Doctor degree from Loyola University, was a fellow American College of Forensic Psychiatry, and Founder American Journal of Forensic Psychiatry. Dr. Shlensky and his family moved to Santa Barbara in 1979. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. Services have already been held.
