Lawrence Joseph DeMarchi, age 75, born to eternal life, died peacefully, surrounded by his family at UW Hospital, Madison,WI, on Tuesday June 4, 2013, resulting from the complications of an accident. Larry was born on May 13, 1938 in Chicago, IL to Lawrence "Angelo" and Antoinette. He graduated from St. Mel's in 1956 . Subsequent years in the Army National Guard brought him many years of proud service. Larry was a former owner of a Dog N Suds franchise also managing several other locations. He later started CES Foods Inc., which specialized in food equipment / beverage formulas, but excelled especially in root beer that "ran in his veins". A new chapter in his life began with the purchase of a farm in Columbus, WI, and his marriage to Susan Joan Lund. Larry was very personable, loved life, enjoyed fishing, camping, cooking, gardening, and spending time with his family. Lawrence's commitment to his faith guided his life. Larry is survived by his wife, Susan; his four daughters, Debbie DeMarchi, Sharon (Joe) Belter, Cathy (Stuart) Shless, Carol (Dean) Helms and Susan's daughter Carolyn Avaire; his six grandchildren, Nicholas Crudele, Ashley Crudele, Josie Belter, Jeff Belter, Miranda Helms, Sean Helms, Jori Avaire, and Saffron Avaire. He is further survived by the mother of his daughters, Shirley DeMarchi, and many close family and friends. A Requiem Mass "Traditional Latin Mass" will be held at HOLY REDEEMER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 120. W. Johnson St., Madison, WI, at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 10, 2013, with Father John Zuhlsdorf celebrating. A visitation will be held at SALERNO ROSEDALE CHAPELS, 450 W. Lake St., Roselle, IL, from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2013. A service will be held at SALERNO ROSEDALE CHAPELS, at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2013. Entombment will be at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Chicago, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Cathedral Parish, 404 East Main Street, Madison, WI, 53703, would be appreciated.
