William Harris Barrows, M.D., 60, died May 26, 2014 at home after battling brain cancer for more than 2-1/2 years. He was also a mohel who brought 1000 babies into the Jewish tradition. He was an avid skier, runner, gardener and photographer who documented the special moments in the lives of all his family and friends. He will be missed by so many. I am just now seeing this and am so very very sorry to hear that the wonderful, funny, caring Dr Barrows has left us. He was a new doctor and we were new parents and he was a great doctor and person for our David and Sam. Our belated but deeply felt sympathy.

Our deepest sympathy's, even 2 years later it must still be very hard. Dr. Barrows was our pediatrician 24 years ago. I found an old business card and decided to "google" him. He was such a great man. I will always remember how proud/happy he was to be skiing with his father and sons on challenging terrain. I think he had a photo in his office. We are very sorry for your loss and like many will always remember him. Truly a great man.

I am deeply saddened to hear about Dr. Barrows passing. He was such an excellent doctor to my children. We will miss his funny sense of humor but we will miss the way he cared for our children the most. May his family find peace with the fond memories of such a wonderful man.

I knew Bill during my two years as Education Director at Sinai twenty years ago. He was the perfect congregant, parent , husband and doctor. Occasionally a child would become I'll while attending class, and we knew we coukd pull Bill out of services for some much needed TLC. He was so good to his patients and so good to the world! Zichrono l'vrachah -- his memory is a blessing to is all.

Although we have not seen Dr. Barrows in many years, we think of him often. He was kind to my three children when they were young and always took the time to give great advice, which I still use to this day! His humbleness and humor will be remembered. We extend our deepest sympathy to his family at this time.
